118th Stated Meeting of the Presbytery of Southwest Florida

August 28, 2020
Dear Fathers and Brothers:
The One Hundred and Eighteenth Stated Meeting of the Presbytery of Southwest Florida will take
place on Saturday, September 12, 2020 at Covenant Presbyterian Church in Lakeland, FL (210
Poppell Drive, Lakeland FL 33813; 863-646-963100).
Registration begins at 8:00 a.m., and the meeting begins at 8:30 a.m. with a Worship Service.
Following the Worship Service, we shall join together for a Season of Prayer.
Because there is a lot of business on the docket, lunch will be provided by Covenant PCA at noon.
In order to maintain physical distancing, presbyters will be asked to eat with those from their own
church rather than eat with men from different churches.
The docket for the meeting, along with various attachments, will be available at our Presbytery
website at: http://swfpresbytery.org/news/. Please check the website before coming to the
Presbytery Meeting in order to download all the reports and documents (for some will be added
after this mailing), as they will not be provided at the meeting.
Included in the material for this Presbytery Meeting are two Complaints dealing with actions taken
at the February 8, 2020 and the March 16, 2020 Presbytery Meetings. These Complaints are
provided to you so that you may read them and be prepared to consider the Complaints on
Saturday, September 12, 2020. Be aware that BCO 43-2 states, in part, “No attempt should be made
to circularize the court to which complaint is being made by either party.”
Be aware that the Presbytery agreed at the September 2015 meeting that appropriate attire for the
Presbytery meetings is at least business casual.
Finally, please pray that the Lord will bless the work of the Presbytery as we meet on September 12.
Grace and peace,
Freddy Fritz
