120th Stated Meeting of the Presbytery of Southwest Florida

January 29, 2021

Dear Fathers and Brothers:

The One Hundred and Twentieth Stated Meeting of the Presbytery of Southwest Florida will take place on Saturday, February 13, 2021 at Trinity Presbyterian Church in Lakeland, FL (301 North Florida Avenue, Lakeland, FL 33801; 863-603-7777).
Registration begins at 8:00 a.m., and the meeting at 8:30 a.m. with a Worship Service. Our outgoing Moderator, TE Bob Brubaker, pastor of Christ Community PCA in Clearwater, FL, will preach the sermon. The Worship Service will include the Lord’s Supper (per Article 8-1 of our Standing Rules) and Memorials (per Article 8-2 of our Standing Rules).
Following the Worship Service, we shall have a Season of Prayer for several churches in our Presbytery.
Based on the time each committee chair has requested for his report, it seems that if we do not have lunch, we can conclude our business around 1:15 p.m. Hopefully, men will then meet together for lunch and fellowship at local restaurants before heading home.
There will be two judicial matters on the docket. One will be a report from our Judicial Business Committee regarding two Teaching Elders. The other is that the Standing Judicial Commission of the General Assembly has assembled a panel to adjudicate Judicial Case 2020-11 (Complaint of TE David B. McWilliams vs. Southwest Florida Presbytery).
The docket for the meeting, along with various attachments, is included with this letter. They will also be available at our Presbytery website at: http://swfpresbytery.org/news/. Additional reports will be added to the website prior to the Presbytery Meeting on February 13. Please check the website before coming to the Presbytery Meeting to download all the reports and documents, as they will not be provided at the meeting.
Finally, please pray that the Lord will bless the work of our Presbytery as we meet on February 13.

Grace and peace,
Freddy Fritz

119th Stated Meeting of the Presbytery of Southwest Florida

Dear Fathers and Brothers:

The One Hundred Nineteenth Stated Meeting of the Presbytery of Southwest Florida will take place on Tuesday, November 10, 2020 at Westtown Presbyterian Church in Tampa, FL (13521 Race Track Road, Tampa, FL 33626; 813-855-2747).

Registration begins at 8:00 a.m., and the meeting begins at 8:30 a.m. with a Worship Service. Mr. Joe DeNitto, a candidate for licensure, will proclaim God’s Word to us. Following the Worship Service, we will have a Season of Prayer. And following the Season of Prayer, we will have a brief presentation from TE Scott Mawhinney regarding Life on Life Discipleship. Scott will also be staying for lunch to talk with any who would like further information about this ministry.

It appears that there will be enough business on our Docket at the Stated Meeting of the Presbytery to warrant having lunch at Westtown Presbyterian Church.

The docket for the meeting, along with various attachments, is available at our Presbytery website at: http://swfpresbytery.org/news/. Please check the website before coming to the Presbytery Meeting in order to download all the reports and documents, as they will not be provided at the meeting.

Be aware that the Presbytery agreed at the September 2015 meeting that appropriate attire for the Presbytery meetings is at least business casual.

Finally, please pray that the Lord will bless the work of the Presbytery as we meet in two weeks.

Grace and peace,
Freddy Fritz
